LMIA Application Consultants Canada
Helping employers hire the global talent they need
What is an LMIA?
A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document that a Canadian employer may need to obtain before hiring a foreign worker. A positive LMIA confirms that there is a genuine need for a foreign worker to fill the job and that no Canadian worker or permanent resident is available to do the job.
The LMIA process requires employers to demonstrate recruitment efforts to hire Canadian workers first. Once an employer receives a positive LMIA, the foreign worker can use it to apply for a work permit. A positive LMIA is sometimes called a 'confirmation letter.'
Our team assists both employers and employees through the LMIA process โ from initial assessment and recruitment documentation to submitting a strong LMIA application with ESDC.
